Mocked: Christ vs. Muhammad
John Piper is extraordinary in his ability to combine Christ and life. He does it here again:
"What we saw this past week in the Islamic demonstrations over the Danish cartoons of Muhammad was another vivid depiction of the difference between Muhammad and Christ, and what it means to follow each. Not all Muslims approve the violence. But a deep lesson remains: The work of Muhammad is based on being honored and the work of Christ is based on being insulted. This produces two very different reactions to mockery." Read the rest here.HT: Sharper Iron

I don't believe we should be tip-toeing around anybody's religion. All religions, beliefs, whatever are fair game when it comes to free speech. If it's not ok for your religion to be mocked, then it isn't ok to mock any other system of belief either. I don't recall that we have a right to not be offended.
