Easter Bunny Crucified by St. Paul City Council
ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Easter Bunny has been sent packing at St. Paul City Hall. A toy rabbit, pastel-colored eggs and a sign with the words "Happy Easter" were removed from the lobby of the City Council offices, because of concerns they might offend non-Christians.
A council secretary had put up the decorations. They were not bought with city money.
St. Paul's human rights director, Tyrone Terrill, asked that the decorations be removed, saying they could be offensive to non-Christians.
But City Council member Dave Thune says removing the decorations went too far, and he wonders why they can't celebrate spring with "bunnies and fake grass."

The Easter Bunny and the Name "Easter" are NOT Christian Ideas!!!
There definately should have been no problem with keeping up the Easter Bunny...you know why???
Easter Bunny should offend CHRISTIANS and NOT the NON-CHRISTIANS!!!
Easter Bunny, and Easter egg painting, and Easter egg hunts are all a part of a pagan tradition. They have nothing to do with celebrating Christ's resurrection at all.
In fact, the word "Easter" was derived from the "Ishtar" is NOT in any way part of the KING of KINGS and the LORD of LORdS!!!
Therefore the term "Easter" has NOTHING to do with Christ, salvation, or what Jesus (Yeshua) did for us. Neither does fake grass, easter bunny, or any other easter celebration.
I have actually decided as of this year to find alternative activities to celebrate the resurrection with, and not use eggs, and fake grass, or the Easter Bunny.
How can anybody attribute Easter eggs with Christianity? It makes me sick to think of that!
***About the White House Easter***
By the way, it makes me sick that the white house Easter did not even have any mention about Christ or God or anything. Not to mention, Laura Bush was a part of putting this event together??? From what I understand, anyway, this even started with a gay and lesbian family gathering near her office.
I thought the Bush family was AGAINST promoting GAYS, and if Bush is really a christian president, then why would there be an announcements especially attributed to gays and lesbians.
If they had some reason for this...like they want to minister God to these people that is one thing, but it does not sound like that was the case.
