Thought Police Sheriff Jackson
Sheriff Sheila Jackson (d-TX) has called for traditionalists to be criminalized based upon thoughts, feelings, and intents. She introduced a bill yesterday that adds tougher federal penalties based on thoughts, not crimes.
Specifically, this bill says that it is morally wrong to think negative thoughts about someone based upon their sexual preference. By elevating someone's preference for same sex partners to the level of race, religion, etc., she is imposing into federal law a new civil right.
Of course, this is the logical conclusion for a gay-rights movement that is losing steam; when you can't change people's mind, change the law--force them to think your thoughts.
Thank goodness the gay-right's club has Sheriff Sheila Jackson on the case.
