Vote on Marriage Wins Big in MA
Congratulations to Vote on Marriage for their victory yesterday in the Massachusetts legislature. After the decision of the MA Supreme Court earlier this week, the legislature would be found guilty of violating the state constitution if they chose to not vote on the state's definition of marriage--which is what they were trying to do.
Yesterday, the legislature voted. The bill got the required votes (50). They will vote on it again sometime this year before it would be passed on to the people of for final approval.
