Gingrich Book Tour
I met Newt Gingrich this week when he made a stop at a local bookstore to discuss and sign copies of his new book. It was an enjoyable evening and I'm enjoying the book.
Though I want Newt to run for the Republican nomination, I don't know that he is my top primary candidate. By running, I think he would elevate the quality of the national discussion and would introduce some great ideas; but, I walked away not trusting his character. I don't know whether it was a memory of his assorted past that crept back into my psyche, but watching him interact with the audience convinced me that we have different values though agree on many policy issues.
I'd vote for him for President over any democrat--easily; but for the primaries, will a better candidate please come forward?
